Statute 05.3 - Assessment and Academic Progress



This Statute is made pursuant to section 28 of the Deakin University Act 2009.
1The Council may, on the recommendation of the Academic Board, make regulations for or with respect to:
(a)the assessment of students’ academic performance;
(b)the review of academic progress and academic discipline of students;
(c)the termination of enrolment or imposition of other appropriate restrictions or penalties for unsatisfactory performance or behaviour;
(d)appeals by students against termination and/or other penalties;
(e)the readmission of students after termination; and
(f)any other matter which may be necessary or expedient for the purposes of this Statute
2Regulations made under this Statute will come into effect when promulgated by being displayed on the University’s official notice board.
